uh oh, whassat?!
if you used to read my blog
before it was revamped, then you remember
the amount of food/restaurant posts i had!
so...
surprise!!
these pictures were taken over the summer,
at one of LML's and I's (I's? Me's? Mine? Mine's?)-
OUR
favorite places...
Greenport, New York.
Salamander's...whose chicken we were addicted to
before we changed our lifestyle.
So we substituted that with
soft shell crab sandwiches...
and mini-veggie samosas!
Excellent...
I would definitely try it
if you haven't already <3

East Wind Catering Hall, Long Island
dear friends of ours
got married months & months ago
and had their wedding
at Easy Wind.
The whole place was super impressive-
i wish there was more to show you
but we had too much fun
so these were all the scenery shots
i captured.
Thanks for a lovely time, East Wind!

tuesday craftiness, part 10
i know it's may
but i love to look back
at all the beautiful things
my mom has made over the years!
this one even has a
crocheted flower on the hat
kinda like something
they might have had
in the 1920s.
i don't know if you can tell,
but she used a black material
with glittery bits
threaded all into it.
love love love it.
hope y'all do, too!

navel expo
what a great time my friends and i had at the navel expo!
it's really sparked a bigger passion in me on my pursuit of everything health and wellness.
i have so much to tell you about it...
like how i sipped bentonite clay (not a good idea! just gulp it down!)
like how i met interesting people...
how many more items are on my to-buy list is crazy!!
(like a vitamix, please!!!!)
hope to see you there next year!

tuesday craftiness, part 7
i call this
the mermaid bracelet.
the colors are reminiscent
of the sea
and i had been looking for
something like it
everywhere!
i hope you all like it!
i'll be making a lot more of these <3

tuesday craftiness, part 6
the first necklace i ever created
though i think i could have done something
a little different with the ribbon
but practice makes perfect.
this little owl
makes a perfect gift
(and actually goes along swimmingly
with a ring i purchased years ago!)
i hope y'all like it!

tuesday craftiness, part 2
...and happy Greek Independence day, to all my fellow Greeks out there <3
this painting was the second one i ever made, and it (obviously) represents love.
all the shades, lines, and colors
eventually all blend with love.
i etched a music note in the corner. i know it's not that visible.
i may recreate love again in the future ;)

tuesday craftiness
last year, when I was going through chemo-hell, i decided i needed an outlet for my pent up anger, frustration, and time i had to wait to get back to my life.
so instead of writing (unless to do lists count?) i threw myself into everything!
this is my first painting: hope.
i made it with the thought of the words, hope floats upwards.
so there's hope. floating in the sea, love all around and looking up at the sky.
hope you like it!
love me,
the globetrotting gamine

crafting my blog
this is me.
i did not make this photo extra large as to not scare you.
i am fresh out of a shower here so don't judge.
my husband (Love of My Life or LML) insists I take a photo of my hair every week since after my stem cell transplant for hodgkin's lymphoma.
i was thinking about my blog yesterday, and decided i need to make it more organized.
but alas, my thoughts are not organized.
there is not only a few things that interest me, but a TEAM of things that do.
So I came up with days of the week I can break my main likes into.
Mondays- Health issues/topics based on wellness and nutrition.
Tuesdays- Crafts
Wednesdays- all things Travel
Thursdays- Inspirations-- people, clothes, life
Fridays- Recipes, most likely juice recipes (you can tell by my instagram :) )
Saturdays/Sundays- misc.
I hope you stick around-- I talk a lot, I may come off way too passionate about a lot of things but this is life. my life. thanks for reading and i hope you stick around <3

A Healthy, Happy 2014 to all!
I sincerely hope you had the best New Year's Eve ever-- and that you will make sure your 2014 rocks!
Remember, the divine is always looking out for each one of us.
Whenever you offer up your prayers to God, make sure you also pray for your enemies, too-- we all need guidance, light and love.
I've learned a lot since my almost one month hiatus from this blog. I am so excited to share everything with all of you and so thankful that you are on this journey with me.
What my goals are for 2014? I have no idea...I honestly haven't sat down long enough to go over this in my mind- but once I do, well-- better late than never.
Last year was the worst NYE ever. Literally. It was my fourth AVD chemo but they had added bleomyacin which caused toxic shock to my swollen eyes, caused me to hallucinate, pass out, and not come to until about an hour before the ball dropped. I had no idea how hard 2013 would be, but I made it out alive with God to Thank and now I'm going to live life to the fullest.
I do have some goals off hand that I will share with you--
- massively detox my body from all the poisons they pumped in me between November 2012 and August 2013.
- exercise. hike. swim. with dolphins. with sharks. with stingrays. I'm going to do it all as much as I can.
- Get another book published?
- Educate myself on nutrition, hopefully leading to some sort of opportunity or profession (wink, wink)
What are your goals?
How was your New Year's Eve?
Please let me know how you are!
Love and light and health to you all!

to help your lymph nodes
what helps the lymphatic system? here are the things that i have read and researched about:
- acupuncture*
- lots of water*
- dry skin brushing*
- massage*
- exercise, especially rebounding. that's right. buy a trampoline.*
- yoga*
- breathing*
- oil pulling
- loose clothes*
- magnesium oil
- clay bath
- chiropractor appointments
- pooping!*
- lymphatic drainage massage
i have starred the ones i've tried. i'm totally wrapping my lifestyle around everything else.
take every moment as it comes, we are never promised another.
please tell me if you've tried anything different and how it's helped you!
love and light to you all,
the globetrotting gamine
