tuesday craftiness, part 10
i know it's may
but i love to look back
at all the beautiful things
my mom has made over the years!
this one even has a
crocheted flower on the hat
kinda like something
they might have had
in the 1920s.
i don't know if you can tell,
but she used a black material
with glittery bits
threaded all into it.
love love love it.
hope y'all do, too!
love me,

i hope y'all like it!
if you have any other ideas or suggestions i can
try, please send them along!
i love what you have sent me

tuesday craftiness, part 8
i know i usually post about
my own creations
but my mom is so awesome
with what she creates
that i just wanted to share.
she made me this wrap around scarf
and matching skull cap
a year or so back
and it just makes me smile
whenever i put it on.
it's bright, pink, and cheery
and keeps me super warm.
my mom is just awesome!!
there is seriously
no end to what she can do.
hope you like it <3
love me,
the globetrotting gamine

beautiful bonaire
Entranced
I crash in your embrace
A thousand miles
Shake me still
not a trace
Fast as the wind
Where do I begin
What else can I lend
How now shall I bend
Hold me down for a moment
How fast can I run?
See, you were not just for fun
Tranced for one moment
Treasures trace I shall leave
As I wander in need
I'll always race to bleed
And it's you
who has won This vulnerable cry;
empty and twisted
Sees you clear - pure in the misted
Morning awaiting
As your fate turns it's head
Lost in love's mourning
I empty your bed
A shell walking dead
I Watch as you sleep
I'll dance as I creep
Disappearing retreat
Leaving sorrow from heat
And what of your luck?
I remain stuck
Better worlds await your eyes
Basked in bliss sunrise
Shouldn't be a surprise
Glimpsing these gypsy eyes
I'll await my next stop
Turning turns as tears drop
Till these eyes are dry
I hold myself to die
Damage fascinates
For what can you fix?
I'll blow out like the wind
Don't even know my own tricks
Lights glowed like candles
Music fades into dust
As you reach for the empty
Spare you I must
A thousand miles
Shake me still
not a trace
Fast as the wind
Where do I begin
What else can I lend
How now shall I bend
Hold me down for a moment
How fast can I run?
See, you were not just for fun
Tranced for one moment
Treasures trace I shall leave
As I wander in need

tuesday craftiness, part 6
the first necklace i ever created
though i think i could have done something
a little different with the ribbon
but practice makes perfect.
this little owl
makes a perfect gift
(and actually goes along swimmingly
with a ring i purchased years ago!)
i hope y'all like it!

tuesday craftiness, part 5
however crazy it may seem
i totally forgot that i used to love CREATING anything
when i was younger.
the last bracelet i made was probably in high school.
now that i've grown up
(i've just had my 15 year high school reunion!)
i have so much access to design jewelry so much more!
i try to take everything one step at a time.
i chose purple beading
for hodgkin's lymphoma awareness
and because it's pretty.
obviously, it's a wire bracelet.
i can't wait to share more of my bracelet designs with you
as time goes on
(and i buy more cool stuff to play with!)
if you have any questions, comments or ideas, as always
i would love to hear from you <3 <3
lotsa love,
the globetrotting gamine

Royal Raymond Rife
I just wanted to educate you all on the success (and non-quackery) of Rife.
Trust no one. Try everything.
"Disease organisms such as those of tuberculosis, cancer, sarcoma, typhoid and others may be observed to succumb when exposed to certain lethal frequencies peculiar to each individual organism, and directed upon them by rays conveying a wide ranges of waves." ~The Smithsonian Institution 1944
Royal Rife and Antoine Bechamp discovered cancer is in fact a pleomorphic fungi that cannot transform into some 16 advanced forms when the body's pH is slightly alkaline.

tuesday craftiness, part 4
this is the first painting in my 'Love, Vasi' series
my brand that i would love to further cultivate.
if there is anything that pets teach us other than unconditional love
is to have faith.
when they look up at you with their big, sweet eyes
you know that they are more compassionate
than you could probably ever be
and they must be huge believers in faith!
Vasi is my maltese...
I've written books about him.
you can find them at my bookstore link on the side bar :)
i sincerely hope you like my painting!
enjoy your tuesday!
love me,

what i want right now:
i was always fascinated with old world knowledge about food, plants, herbs, etc.
also, obsessed with movies/shows like, dr.quinn: medicine woman, and practical magic...
when i was really little it goes way back to me mixing up soaps in the bathroom and wishing i knew how to make my own (i obviously never vocalized this to my family)...
always wanted to blend my own teas, and herbs, and experiment with food (making my poor niece "experiment" with me...I'm sorry!!)
so that's what i want.
i devour books and knowledge like this and have recently picked up the book, "Herbal Home Remedies by Jude".
What I will be posting in segments is what part of each herb is used and for what (as a type of medicine):
Acacia
- use the exudation part
- removes phlegm from the throat and bronchia, used for respiratory and digestive organs
Allspice
- use the root
- used for blood disorders, liver, and gallbladder problems
Angelica
- use roots, leaves and seeds
- expectorant for colds and coughs, can treat kidney disorders, aids digestive system.
- don't mistake hemlock for angelica!!
Anise
- use leaves and seeds
- good for colds and flu, digestive aid
Apple
- use whole fruit
- dried apple tea as a diuretic
- aids in elimination of toxins from the system
Asparagus
- use shoots and roots
- tea from asparagus is an excellent diuretic, drink every 2-3 hours
Balm of Gilead
- closed bud of the poplar tree is used
- expectorant for chest ailments and bronchial disorders
Basil
- use the leaves
- aids in digestion and is used as a milk laxative, is used to treat headaches
Bee Balm
- use the whole plant
- used as an antiseptic because it contains thymol and removes impurities from the blood, stimulates the liver and spleen
Blackberry
- use leaves, fruit, roots
- dissolves deposits in the alimentary system (the organ system devoted to the ingestion, digestion, and assimilation of food and the discharge of residual wastes) as well as the kidneys
Black Alder
- use barks and fruits
- treatment for liver and bladder problems, cleans the system of accumulated mucoid toxins (which the medical field calls quackery but it's come out of me and i've seen it while not using anything so it's true)
Boneset
- the upper half of the herb is used
- cleansing effect on all organs
- used as a tonic as well as an aid in eliminating mucus from the alimentary, bronchial, bowel and liver systems
- also a muscle relaxant
Borage
- use leaves and flowers
- relieves depression, the flowers brewed as a tea are used to treat fevers and colds
(taken from pages 42-44)
LOVE THIS INFO
and I hope you do, too!!

tuesday craftiness, part 3
this is my third painting displayed/blogged about
and the first in my fairy series.
i just wanted to picture a super sunny day
(that new york has had so little of)
and a kind of lazy day for fairies,
flying around or just lounging around on flower petals.
this is my first mixed media painting.
the flower on the right is my favorite
it's fiery orange :)
hope you are enjoying your tuesday!
lots of love,
the globetrotting gamine

enzymes and digestion
(forgive me, i research so much, i don't know where these excerpts are from!)
"Raw food/living food-- an uncooked vegan or vegetarian diet which consists of berries, fruits, vegetables, roots, nuts, flowers, sea vegetables, germinated seeds, sprouts and sometimes raw dairy products for maintenance, not cleansing.
Plants are rich natural sources of antioxidants and other nutrients.
Live food also contains enzymes which act as catalysts for detox and absorption of nutrients. Under naturopathy, juices of certain vegetables and fruits are used as cancer-fighting foods.
Green leaves-- have alkaline minerals, the best fiber, calming and anti-stress properties, are the best chlorophyll source.
Body attempts to adapt to cooked food by increasing the enzyme content of our saliva to begin breaking down the food as quickly as possible. Without proper enzymes to accumulate undigested materials in our system leading to inflammation, stagnation, fatigue and digestive distress.
Saliva of a raw food eater contains far fewer enzymes than that of a person who eats cooked food. This is because raw foods contain enzymes of their own, making salivary enzymes not as strongly needed for digestion. "

random things i know!
(one of the random things i know-- these 2 cute pups like to be bad together!!)
but there was so many
i couldn't categorize them!
(sorry! even if i've repeated them)
- your immune system tries to attack the 5 a's...antacids, antibiotics, alcohol, advil, animal foods
- anything white and refined causes candida and suppresses the immune system
- melatonin is an anti-cancer substance for the entire body
- genes don't cause disease, but changes in the environment do.
- remission only occurs in 7% of patients, no evidence that that success rate results from the treatments offered.
- temporary tumor shrinkage through chemo has never shown to cure cancer or extend life.
- have a cough-- use licorice herb (i've done this, it's so helpful, yummy, and non-"medicine"
- prednisone, cortisone and other steroids used to treat dozens of conditions including asthma, lupus and cancer frequently cause weight gain, because they boost the appetite and force the body to retain certain fluids. they CAUSE just as many disorders as they are used for including cancer, heart disease, depression, hostility and aggression and eating disorders and...RISK OF HIV!
- tumors could disappear when toxins are eliminated

tuesday craftiness
last year, when I was going through chemo-hell, i decided i needed an outlet for my pent up anger, frustration, and time i had to wait to get back to my life.
so instead of writing (unless to do lists count?) i threw myself into everything!
this is my first painting: hope.
i made it with the thought of the words, hope floats upwards.
so there's hope. floating in the sea, love all around and looking up at the sky.
hope you like it!
love me,
the globetrotting gamine
