Ages

Wow...

It's been ages since I've been back to blog world.

Sure, you can say it's my fault- it is!! There has been so much going on that it's really been more than a whirlwind...like a tornado, more like!

  • school
  • full time job!
  • tests
  • weddings
  • events
  • life
the usual!

Of course, there are so many things I want to incorporate in my blog...I wouldn't even know where to begin...
  • writing
  • art
  • health
  • counseling ideas
  • travel
  • travel tips and ideas
  • events
Literally, no idea where to begin.

I guess the beginning of the year would make sense...

We spent New Years with family...
In February, we took a little vacation:
Hit some favorite spots, like Puerto Rico^^

...and St. Thomas^^

...and St. Maarten ^^ for planespotting

and hit one new-to-us-island: Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands...

and visited the Baths^^, which was on this guys bucket list :)

There is so much more to tell!
But I have a lot to do before I jump back to work.

So, if you're reading this...
welcome back!
i missed you!
i hope you're having a beautiful day,
a beautiful autumn,

and we'll talk soon <3

lotsa love,

research, research, research

i always tell everyone to do their own research and to respect their own bodies. after all, you know your own body better than any one else does. i am not a doctor, do not have a medical degree, but probably read at least one book a day. so whatever i write, or learn, is from my own vast research, and you should seriously do your own <3

like i said, i began reading the book, Tox-Sick by Suzanne Somers and have no idea why it was poopoo'd by some "medical" people. Obviously, Suzanne writes from her experiences, point of view, and states it outright. However, there are doctors, scientists, medical journal article info in her book that prove this. People who have not picked up and glanced at the inside of the book agree with panicking medical people writing the articles...I'm sure many have not read Tox-Sick either.

So for the next few weeks, I want to break down different parts of the book (which i've wrote in entirely, by the way...) for you guys, based on my experiences and opinions.

So, what I wanted to talk about:

"One of the most extensive studies of Americans' toxic burden was funded by the Environmental WOrking Group, and conducted at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Researchers tested nine adults, none of whom worked in industries that would expose them to high levels of environmental poisons; well-known journalist Bill Moyers was one of them. All were tested for the presence of 210 contaminants that have been globally recognized as persistent pollutants (like DDT). The results of the participants' blood and urine showed he presence of 167 of the 210 contaminants, with an average of 91 in any given person. Each person tested had an average of:
-53 brain chemicals that have been linked to cancer.
-63 compounds toxic to the central nervous system, including the brain.
-58 compounds toxic to the endocrine (hormonal) system.
-55 compounds that are toxic to the immune system and frequently lead to autoimmunity (fibromyalgia, lupus, multiple sclerosis) and an impaired ability to fight infections."

So imagine, the air we breathe, the water we drink (if bottled or tap), and then everything you're adding to your body in your "food", makeup, hair stuff, lotions, nail polish, when you clean your home, when you wash your clothes...

then it's not hard to wonder why we are so toxic.

i used to wonder why so many 28-35 year olds had hodgkin's lymphoma.

when i would ask my oncologist how the lymphatic system worked, he had no idea. said i got cancer because it's just a freak thing. I was not allowed to eat fresh fruits and vegetables, or go get colon hydrotherapy.

i am not making this stuff up.

so i didn't know anything about the lymphatic system and hodgkin's lymphoma or detoxing (except that alcoholics or people addicted to drugs did this), or cleanses, until I was done with AVD chemo, ICE chemo, and then the worst chemo that nearly killed me (i think it did, actually) followed up with a stem cell transplant. all these i was scared into doing because my oncologist kept telling me i had 3 months to live. who wants to give up their life? so i trusted them and believed them, but the "system" failed me.

If i had known then what I know now, or knew a year ago, I never would have gone that path and wouldn't wish it on my worst enemies.

But there are so many things we can do to cleanse the body...
-sweat
-eat better (no processed foods, sugars, alcohol)
-vitamins and supplements that will help promote detox (spirulina, chlorella, activated charcoal, etc.)
-chew some cloves daily (kills parasites along with...)
-...eating some garlic daily (sooo many benefits!)
-colon hydrotherapy (removes harmful buildup of toxins from colon and intestines.
-essiac tea (cleanses blood)
-rebounding (moves lymph)
-dry brushing (moves lymph)
-dandelion tea (cleanses)

I've done all these things...a lot, some every day. and i'm wondering...if other people knew just a little bit of my entire story, maybe it would help.

my story

^2010^
^2013^
^Christmas 2014^

i figured it's good to put it out there, and whoever wants to read it and use it, can.

i was never living the healthiest lifestyle.
though i was never a partier, and never did drugs,
my diet was ew.
cue all kinds of meats, gmo's, processed foods, cold cuts, caffeine, cakes, sweets, sushi, anything with sugar.
i was eating at home, and eating out A LOT!

I didn't know that what i was doing was going to have consequences,
and in the depth of my soul i believe that the nutrition and stress factor
is what bought on my diagnosis of hodgkin's lymphoma, in oct. 2012.

commence: chemo, november 2012- april 2013.
ice chemo- april 2013- june 2013
stem cell transplant- july 19 2013- aug 6 2013

so basically, i've died a few times (serious- NDE's galore, some i don't even remember, they had me so drugged up)

and i prayed and prayed and prayed some more...
and i knew, in october 2013, when my onc.'s were grasping at straws
that i wasn't going to deal with the medical b.s. anymore.

if they couldn't tell me where this dis-ease came from,
how were they going to cure me with poison?
i was NOT getting sick again,
i was NOT having people with hazmat suits inject nasty nasty goo into my poor body anymore.

so God, answered my prayers, and I've been detoxing ever since.
i have tried everything,
and never have i felt this good before.

i know it's hard, but the thing with diagnosis is this:
mind, body and spirit keep you sick.
if one is, the others follow suit.
you can choose your path by following your soul and instincts:
NOT YOUR FEAR.

I had let fear dictate my life up until my prayers were answered,
and i don't anymore.

if any of you guys are out there, and want help,
message me, I am here!

love love love,

Hello :)

Hi lovely bloggers!

I am sorry I've been MIA.

I have so many wonderful things going on, and I hope and pray that you all do, too!

It's certainly been busy on my end, and you know me by now...I don't like to talk about my projects until I've completed them.

How is your holiday season going? I have to admit, this year was the first time my husband and I ordered two organic turkeys for each family dinner. We were quite full and my puppy is quite thankful...

It's been an amazing year for me, but also a bittersweet one-- those nearest and dearest to me and I have lost loved ones this year. I am sending love and light out to those souls and those families, so that we may all know peace...and so that those souls could party with their friends in Heaven <3

In the meantime, my goal for next month is to complete already-started projects and to continue with my new ones!

What are your goals and resolutions?

Love me!

Truth

Going back to school for something you forgot you love is a warm and fuzzy experience.

Then, when the epiphany strikes you of what you really want to do with your life, it's a simultaneous of a zonk on the head and a big kick in the ass.

It should make you want to dance around...
It should make you want to cry...
It should bring all these ideas rushing at you...

And I'm so thankful that this happened to me. Now I know why I've had every experience, every person in my life, every teeny thing.

Has this ever happened to you?

I won't divulge information, but know that I'm working hard and all will reveal itself in due time.
And yay!

Love me,

when i grow up...

if you know me,
you know that i'm the girl
who would love to wander the rainforests,
jungles, forests and fields
learning about everything healing from shamans,
medicine people, and healers.

this is the way i've always been,
which is ironic since i was scared into
going through chemo
which i would never do again, ever.
note: if i could go back in time,
i would never have done it.

but we keep moving forward...

i'm still the girl who would love to meet healers,
so i picked this book up in the library,
and am posting some interesting tidbits from it
here, in my blog...because if you're like me
you like this stuff, too.

page 6--
"Many of the human body's powerful reactions are a direct response to plant alkaloids, a class of chemical compounds most common in tropical plants.
Alkaloids, which are characterized by a molecular structure that must include a nitrogen atom and at least two carbon atoms, have had a major impact on every culture- if not every person- on the planet. They provide everything from  the kick in our morning coffee (caffeine) to the addictive compounds in our most dangerous drugs (cocaine, heroin and nicotine), the toxic principles in some of the deadliest poisons (strychnine and batrachotoxin), the analgesic effects in our most potent painkillers (codeine and morphine), and the mental pyrotechnics in someof the most powerful hallucinogens (mescaline and psilocybin.)....

Quinine, an alkaloid from the bark of the cinchona tree and one of the bitterest substances known, was first discovered thousands of years ago by South American Indians in what is now Peru and Ecuador. Since then it has been widely used throughout the tropics and much of the temperate world to cure malaria, a disease caused by a parasite, transmitted by mosquitoes, that destroys the red blood cells. Although thought of by many as a jungle disease, the illness does not discriminate based on geographyl malaria has been and still is a world ranging disease....

Yet a single plant alkaloid reveleaed to us by South American Indiands has helps eradicate malaria in the temperate zone and reduce the prevalence of the disease. "

Gotta love this stuff...

anyone ever study this stuff, or go on such adventures?
i would love to hear from you!

do you know that feeling...

where, as a writer...it haunts you in the middle of the night what you want to write about but then, upon waking...

nothing.
nada.
ZILCH.

i really hate this feeling, and it should promote me to get up in the middle of the night and start writing.

since summer began, i have gone back to exploring, celebrating, and back to the daily grind of trying to get my career as a school counselor rolling again. i wish it was easier to get everything done that i want to (especially in the crafts department!) but it's not.

things on my mind and now out there in the blog-u-verse:

  • job job job. gimme gimme. want one to escape the boredom!
  • love summer.
  • social media is exhausting.
  • so many books to read, so little time
  • WANNA GO EVERYWHERE!
  • ah, me.
lol

so i'm back in the state where my mind buzzes around and around with thoughts and ideas like a ticker tape. sometimes, i swear it's a psychic thing i've got going on. i have no idea where said thoughts and ideas come from.

i've heard somewhere recently that writers have a more difficult time than non-writers getting their words out there in the way they want. this comforts me, because  i never feel adequate enough in describing much of anything when writing. and most of the time, there is no word flow, or just basic flow.

more things on my bucket list:
  • certification in nutrition, health and wellness.
  • yoga certification
  • my next big project
i hope all of you out there in bloggie land are doing wonderfully, and that your summer (or whatever season) is treating you well!!

lots of love and light from me to you,

my 'miracles' project

the problem that i am having:

i would love to go back to work as a school counselor.

reasons...

  • i am sometimes bored at home (i can keep myself busy, but it's not the same anymore)
  • i miss having to hyper-organize everything
  • i want to be able to talk about interesting days
  • the money wouldn't be a bad thing
  • i would love to use the diploma on my wall
  • it would help open the doors to other opportunities

when did things go wonky...
  • one person in the d.o.e who will remain nameless, decided to execute a harassment agenda on the entire school and i was one of his "victims".
  • that person told me that if i left the school he would give me a good letter of recommendation because i didn't belong there.
  • even though i was being harassed and bribed, he decided to "terminate" me based on one bad "d.o.e. grade" that the superintendent signed off on
  • that paper clearly noted, from the state of new york that it was NOT to be used for guidance counselors.
why did they go wonky...
  • i have no idea.
  • this person had to "step down" from his position a few months later, because he harassed the daughter of an NYPD detective!
  • i lost my "case" and even though i spent the money to get a copy of the taped transcript, I NEVER GOT IT...
  • possible conspiracy theory?
alright, miracles.
let's get started!

love me,
the globetrotting gamine

alkaline water vs. acidy drinks

I've been researching alkaline vs. acidity for a while now and there's no mistake for which one is better for you. I have been drinking alkaline water for about 5 months now and I feel fantastic, and don't crave coffee, sugary drinks, or need energy jumps throughout the day.

A little article about this, I found here! :

Water is a very powerful tool for improving and maintaining health. Alkaline antioxidant water is unlike any other water because it is more than just “water.” It's a health drink. Daily use of alkaline antioxidant water may be the best form of natural health maintenance and improvement you can adopt.

Structured alkaline antioxidant water contains greater concentrations of ionized H20 molecules which have been restructured through electromagnetic means in a way that creates a greater probability of physiologically desirable “cluster” sizes. This causes more free electrons to be available in the water as well as greater hydration potential. The “free” electrons can act as antioxidants while the six sided or “hexagonal” water molecule clusters enhance the proper hydration of our cells. All of this results in many patients feeling a generalized sense of well-being and improved health when they drink alkaline antioxidant water. These 6-sided clusters found in ionized, structured, alkaline water appear to allow for the fastest internal rehydration possible.

Alkaline antioxidant water is produced through means that favor the development of 6-sided water molecules resulting in what we call hexagonal water. Hexagonal water is water which has undergone hydrogen bonding which favors its peculiar structure and energy state. In water such as regular tap water or water from municipal water sources, you can get structures involving up to 12, 13, 16 or greater number of water molecules. Such water does not promote optimal health in the same way that hexagonally structured water does.

Alkaline antioxidant water can increase the general efficiency of all systems of the body. There are many benefits to this. One of the benefits I appreciate most is that alkaline antioxidant water is many times more hydrating and better tasting that tap water. That's one of the greatest things I have identified because people will drink more water. It's smooth, refreshing, and satisfying.

The percentage of hexagonal units found in water, as well as their stability, appears to depend on a number of factors, including toxin levels, mineral content, motion, and energetic influences that water is exposed to. For example chlorine, fluoride, and many pollutants typically found in municipal water sources decrease the ability of water to form significant numbers of hexagonal units. Tap water typically has a very low percentage of these structures. By switching from tap water to alkaline antioxidant water, one may greatly improve the functioning of the body by supplying it with truly rejuvenating, clean, healthy water.

The hexagonal water affects health by improving the body's ability to use the water effectively. With alkaline antioxidant water, the water is also purified. Substances commonly added to municipal water, such as chlorine, are removed from alkaline antioxidant water before the water is consumed. The alkaline antioxidant water processor removes many harmful toxins from drinking water for good.

Water is a very dynamic substance. When we take the water through the ionization process, we cause changes that occur in a fraction of a second. We create an energetic effect which causes the water to be structured in a way that improves the body's ability to use the water optimally and maximize the benefits of the water.

You get better interaction from vital enzymes, vitamins, structural, and antioxidant molecules because all of these substances operate in a water environment. The better the quality of the water, the better it is for the body.

The effects of this may be seen in many ways including improved sleep, enhanced sense of well-being, better exercise endurance, improved elimination of cellular wastes, clearer thinking, increased overall hydration, less discomfort, better skin health, and enhanced overall health.

People are able to produce alkaline antioxidant water in the comfort of their own homes. Some of the processors used to produce alkaline antioxidant water offer a filtration system that is 50 percent better than what is used in hospital or compounding pharmacies today.

Alkaline antioxidant water is nature's best. It's the kind of water you find flowing freely from many of the world's best natural springs.

Modern lifestyle, diets, and pollution promote acidic metabolism in the typical individual. Having a mild and harmless alkaline influence in the form of water can go a long way in buffering and protecting one's health against the harmful chronic effects of an acidic metabolism. Alkaline antioxidant water can help you resist disease and slow the aging process. In the body, alkaline water helps to buffer a chronic state of acid stress.

This improves the body's ability to maintain good health and proper overall functioning. Therefore we would expect to observe the helpful benefits of increased ionization and alkalinity in a combination which would include the effects of antioxidants, the micro clustering of the water, the alkalinity of the water, and the improved taste and texture of the water.

People often ask me if there is any instance in which the alkaline antioxidant water would be less than beneficial. Individuals with cervical spinal stenosis should not drink alkaline antioxidant water.

If you are a normal individual, I sincerely do not think you could drink too much properly produced alkaline antioxidant water. You should start out with alkalinity at near neutral levels then gradually increase the alkalinity as your body demonstrates tolerance to the alkaline antioxidant water. I have been watching peoples' reactions to alkaline antioxidant water for months and I have not seen anyone have a problem except two patients with cervical stenosis.

If a person starts out slowly and follows the basic guidelines, as well as consults one's physician if he or she is on any type of medication, I believe the water will offer very good and beneficial results. I advise most people to drink about six glasses per day. I believe the proper use of alkaline antioxidant water is the single most important thing that one can do for his or her health.

(The above article appeared in “HEALTH NEWS” - Vol. 18 No. 6, Tel: (800) 597-2585; Web: <www.healthnewsweb.com> - Email: info@healthnewsweb.com

Dr. Raymond Dent states - “Alkaline antioxidant water can help you resist disease and slow the aging process.” - and also, “Alkaline antioxidant water is nature's best. It's the kind of water you find flowing freely from many of the world's best natural springs.”

a new store in flushing!

Interesting article in the Bayside Times, link here!

Article pasted, here:

For those who do not speak Korean, the Erom store near Broadway Station may appear — at first glance — to be a place devoted solely to the sale of bidets.
After all, the name of the European-style plumbing fixtures is the only English-language word adorning the sign over the corner of 164th Street and Northern Boulevard, and a pair of the devices are prominently displayed in the window of a commodious storefront as clean and tidy as porcelain.
Erom is, in fact, a line of Korean-manufactured wellness products, including appliances, foods and cosmetics.
“It’s a well-being store,” shop owner Young Pak said.
In addition to the bidets, which run between $650 and $800, including free installation while the store celebrates its grand opening this month, the other big ticket item at Pak’s shop is the water ionizer, a device that uses an electric current to separate the alkaline and acid found in the magnesium and calcium ions in water.
The wellness industry — including bottlers who may charge more than $4 for 20 ounces of the stuff — tout the health benefits of using water with a high pH level to neutralize acid in the bloodstream, boost metabolism and help the body more effectively absorb nutrients.
While there is no scientific consensus on the claims, alkaline water’s proponents say its benefits are wide-reaching.
“It’s very popular, especially in Korea,” said Pak, who added that cancer patients find alkaline water easier to swallow. “It helps to rehabilitate the body.”
The ionizers, which need to be hooked up to a tap water supply, are not inexpensive.
The Juvenis VII, which Pak said is ideal for a family of five or more, runs in the $3,000 range while the economy-size Juvenis V costs about $2,500.
Aside from the hardware, his store — which may evoke a knowing smile from New Yorkers whose bathrooms are uncomfortably close to the rest of their apartment — is arranged with an orderly stack of cubbies surrounding a cream-colored couch and a station with a kitchen sink.
The shelves each hold an Erom food product — freeze-dried, raw meals with organic ingredients that claim to do everything from fight cancer to help children grow taller.
The kitchen station, which Pak plans to have ready for the store’s April 7 grand opening, will be used to demonstrate pH levels in the city’s tap and show through different tests how the ionizer brings down pH levels.
Pak said he expects to do well with those already familiar with the Erom brand and reputation, adding that the appeal is universal.
“Everyone wants to diet and alkaline water is good for a diet,” he said.

I'M SO EXCITED!

beautiful bonaire

Entranced

I crash in your embrace
A thousand miles
Shake me still
not a trace

Fast as the wind
Where do I begin
What else can I lend
How now shall I bend

Hold me down for a moment
How fast can I run?
See, you were not just for fun
Tranced for one moment
Treasures trace I shall leave
As I wander in need
I'll always race to bleed
And it's you
who has won This vulnerable cry;
empty and twisted
Sees you clear - pure in the misted

Morning awaiting
As your fate turns it's head
Lost in love's mourning
I empty your bed
A shell walking dead

I Watch as you sleep
I'll dance as I creep
Disappearing retreat
Leaving sorrow from heat

And what of your luck?
I remain stuck

Better worlds await your eyes
Basked in bliss sunrise
Shouldn't be a surprise
Glimpsing these gypsy eyes

I'll await my next stop
Turning turns as tears drop
Till these eyes are dry
I hold myself to die

Damage fascinates
For what can you fix?
I'll blow out like the wind
Don't even know my own tricks

Lights glowed like candles
Music fades into dust
As you reach for the empty
Spare you I must

tuesday craftiness, part 5

however crazy it may seem
i totally forgot that i used to love CREATING anything
when i was younger.

the last bracelet i made was probably in high school.
now that i've grown up
(i've just had my 15 year high school reunion!)
i have so much access to design jewelry so much more!

i try to take everything one step at a time.

i chose purple beading
for hodgkin's lymphoma awareness
and because it's pretty.

obviously, it's a wire bracelet.

i can't wait to share more of my bracelet designs with you
as time goes on
(and i buy more cool stuff to play with!)

heaven and happiness

one of my favorite travel memories is dominica.
everything, anything about dominica was beautiful, from the earth itself straight down to each cell in every person.

we toured around the island and were introduced to an incredibly kind man
who had a 'gratis' farm-stand on the side of the road where he prepared fresh and local fruits and veggie fare for everyone (if you wanted to leave a small donation, you could, but it was not required!)

this is LML having a freshly picked banana with cocoa-roasted coconut on top.

you have no idea. that banana could fill you up for the whole day.

it was seriously one of the most amazing things i've ever eaten.

the guy running the stand was awesome
and knew a lot of stuff.

i can't wait to visit him and dominica again!

views from the farmstand.

my happy LML and our happy friend explaining everything to the group!

love this sign <3

can't wait to see you again, dominica!!

tuesday craftiness, part 4

this is the first painting in my 'Love, Vasi' series
my brand that i would love to further cultivate.

if there is anything that pets teach us other than unconditional love
is to have faith.
when they look up at you with their big, sweet eyes
you know that they are more compassionate
than you could probably ever be
and they must be huge believers in faith!

Vasi is my maltese...
I've written books about him.

you can find them at my bookstore link on the side bar :)

i sincerely hope you like my painting!

enjoy your tuesday!

hippocratic oath and a rant

i know i must have posted this before, but it endlessly drives me crazy...

this part of the hippocratic oath:

"I will prescribe regimens for the good of my patients according to my ability and my judgment and never do harm to anyone.
I will give no deadly medicine to any one if asked, nor suggest any such counsel; and similarly I will not give a woman a pessary to cause an abortion.
But I will preserve the purity of my life and my arts."

so the Greek in me understands this. the HUMAN i am understands this.

what's perplexing is the amount of bullshit doctors are giving us today...poisoning us to DEATH with chemotherapy, radiation, and other drugs and then having the gall to say the CANCER did it?
when we know for a fact that chemo is poison, or your asses wouldn't be walking around us injecting us in hazmat suits and gloves...
but this is what we do now. put poisons in everything, poison people through drugs, and then poison their minds as well, thinking that it will help us, cure us, when all it's doing is speeding up our demise.

i'm not naive, but i was so drugged up during chemo, i was dumb as fuck.
when my onc. suggested an allo transplant without even pushing to go for more biopsies to see what was going on inside my body...i had at least one onc who pushed me to go for a biopsy.

the third one i saw told me, oh we wouldn't even have PUT YOU THROUGH AN AUTO STEM CELL TRANSPLANT!

really???? did i tell you guys that she then had the audacity to tell me that there's 100s of clinical trials i can do before i get to the point of an allogenic transplant. indefinitely being poisoned, as a guinea pig, every two weeks, and she even said i can do this through my inevitable pregnancy (because my body was strong when they tested me)...
even though the other doctors said i was likely to menopause immediately after my stem cell transplant.

i told that oncologist that she would never touch me if i ever became pregnant. (i swear, i would rip someone's head off at the thought of poisoning an innocent soul??)
also, my husband tried to fight this very special onc. by saying, my wife is not a guinea pig.

thus began our search for knowledge.

so please, ask me anything.
know that i will NEVER do chemo, radiation or any other kind of transplant ever again.

please. PLEASE. educate yourselves.

this is YOUR life. not your ONCs life!

you can't possibly get better with poison, in sterile environments.

how do we not see this?

i'm not forcing you to go through what i did, i've chosen my path.

we all have to choose our own paths, but do this wisely.
think about the ones you love, and think about YOU and YOUR LIFE!

you. have. time!

love me,
the globetrotting gamine

what i want right now:

i was always fascinated with old world knowledge about food, plants,  herbs, etc.
also, obsessed with movies/shows like, dr.quinn: medicine woman, and practical magic...

when i was really little it goes way back to me mixing up soaps in the bathroom and wishing i knew how to make my own (i obviously never vocalized this to my family)...

always wanted to blend my own teas, and herbs, and experiment with food (making my poor niece "experiment" with me...I'm sorry!!)

so that's what i want.

i devour books and knowledge like this and have recently picked up the book, "Herbal Home Remedies by Jude".

What I will be posting in segments is what part of each herb is used and for what (as a type of medicine):

Acacia

  • use the exudation part
  • removes phlegm from the throat and bronchia, used for respiratory and digestive organs

Allspice

  • use the root
  • used for blood disorders, liver, and gallbladder problems

Angelica

  • use roots, leaves and seeds
  • expectorant for colds and coughs, can treat kidney disorders, aids digestive system.
  • don't mistake hemlock for angelica!!

Anise

  • use leaves and seeds
  • good for colds and flu, digestive aid

Apple

  • use whole fruit
  • dried apple tea as a diuretic
  • aids in elimination of toxins from the system

Asparagus

  • use shoots and roots
  • tea from asparagus is an excellent diuretic, drink every 2-3 hours

Balm of Gilead

  • closed bud of the poplar tree is used
  • expectorant for chest ailments and bronchial disorders

Basil

  • use the leaves
  • aids in digestion and is used as a milk laxative, is used to treat headaches

Bee Balm

  • use the whole plant
  • used as an antiseptic because it contains thymol and removes impurities from the blood, stimulates the liver and spleen

Blackberry

  • use leaves, fruit, roots
  • dissolves deposits in the alimentary system (the organ system devoted to the ingestion, digestion, and assimilation of food and the discharge of residual wastes) as well as the kidneys

Black Alder

  • use barks and fruits
  • treatment for liver and bladder problems, cleans the system of accumulated mucoid toxins (which the medical field calls quackery but it's come out of me and i've seen it while not using anything so it's true)

Boneset

  • the upper half of the herb is used
  • cleansing effect on all organs
  • used as a tonic as well as an aid in eliminating mucus from the alimentary, bronchial, bowel and liver systems
  • also a muscle relaxant

Borage
  • use leaves and flowers
  • relieves depression, the flowers brewed as a tea are used to treat fevers and colds

tuesday craftiness, part 3

this is my third painting displayed/blogged about
and the first in my fairy series.

i just wanted to picture a super sunny day
(that new york has had so little of)
and a kind of lazy day for fairies,
flying around or just lounging around on flower petals.

this is my first mixed media painting.

the flower on the right is my favorite
it's fiery orange :)

hope you are enjoying your tuesday!

lots of love,
