i was always fascinated with old world knowledge about food, plants, herbs, etc.
also, obsessed with movies/shows like, dr.quinn: medicine woman, and practical magic...
when i was really little it goes way back to me mixing up soaps in the bathroom and wishing i knew how to make my own (i obviously never vocalized this to my family)...
always wanted to blend my own teas, and herbs, and experiment with food (making my poor niece "experiment" with me...I'm sorry!!)
so that's what i want.
i devour books and knowledge like this and have recently picked up the book, "Herbal Home Remedies by Jude".
What I will be posting in segments is what part of each herb is used and for what (as a type of medicine):

- don't mistake hemlock for angelica!!

- used as a tonic as well as an aid in eliminating mucus from the alimentary, bronchial, bowel and liver systems
