notes from Yogi Cameron

There's a channel that's called Veria Living and it is my world! I LOVE it!

One of the coolest shows on there, and there are quite a few, stars Yogi Cameron-- who's taught me so much! It'd be great to meet him.

He once did a show with a wonderful woman who was concerned her leukemia would come back...a concern of all cancer patients is that this will come back.

I jotted down a few notes from this episode and thought I would share them here...so thankful for this information.

  • residue from chemotherapy needs to be released
  • ayurvedic belief- cancer is caused by emotions and feelings
  • fear brings on cancer
  • a steam tent will help your skin expel toxins because you will sweat everything out. sweating is super-good for you and that's why exercising is good for you too! move and sweat, baby.
  • stay in the moment!
  • juice radishes and turnips-- i have only done this a few times but i juice everyday!
  • stay worry free
  • tightrope walking helps
  • write down when you worry and what you worry about
  • ayurvedic herbs to try-- bhring raj,  and purnar vang--drink twice a day, it clears out your urinary tract!
for more on and about Yogi Cameron, find it here!

love and light to you all!

a little about chlorophyll...

i should have paid more attention in science class but here goes....

Chlorophyll

  • contains a powerful blood builder that's said to increase red blood cells
  • improves circulation
  • eases inflammation
  • oxygenates the body
  • counteracts harmful free-radicals
the higher your pH, the more alkaline your system is

alkaline definition as per wikipedia...
The term alkaline diet (also known as the alkaline ash dietalkaline acid dietacid ash diet, and the acid alkaline diet) describes a group of loosely related diets based on the belief that certain foods can affect the acidity of bodily fluids, including the urine or blood, and can therefore be used to treat or prevent diseases. Acidity is measured by the pHlevel of the bodily fluids.

the anti-inflammatory diet

you are what you eat, right?

yep.

so when i was diagnosed i was going on 4 years with a mostly organic and meditteranean diet.
i was exercising, moving.
i was writing and doing other creative things.
i was traveling and taking pictures.
mostly stress free.

eat me, hodgkin's, you bastard.

and if that's not bad enough? the doctors try to scare the shit out of you so you don't even have time to go for other opinions before agreeing to their "protocol" of chemotherapy and whatever, as if your life and body is the same as everyone else's life and body.

that fact actually stresses me out.

here are a list of things i've researched that should definitely be a part of everyone's diet, and it's an anti-inflammatory one!

the anti-inflammatory diet
  • red and yellow fruits and vegetables
  • cauliflower
  • leafy greens*
  • pulverized grains
  • walnuts
  • cashews
  • e.v.o.o*
  • coconut oil*
  • black cod/seafood (only every once in a while since mercury in our waters-- and in your teeth fillings!--run rampant and are not good for you all the time.)
  • rosemary
  • ginger*
  • turmeric*
  • cinnamon*
  • curry
  • brown basmati rice
  • seaweed*
i starred the things i eat/and was eating! on a daily basis pre-diagnosis and post stem cell transplant.

what i think is flippin' HYSTERICAL?

my oncologists telling me that during chemo i was not allowed to have ANY of this stuff.
nothing organic--fruits and veggies were a no no unless they were cooked.
but i can eat candy and cake and anything processed because it won't interfere with the chemo.

what the result of THAT was?
my "disease" stuck around in the main part of my body
and it was DOUBLE THE SIZE after 6 months of chemo.
obviously, because i wasn't eating as i was before.

what i wouldn't give to sue the asses off of everyone
but life has to go on.

writing about it and talking about it help.

for now, focus on your diet.
i am not a diagnostician
but do what you feel is right for you.
ask questions.
don't give in to scare tactics.

love and light to you all!!
